WHAT EMOTIONAL QUOTIENT (EQ) IS ALL ABOUT

In the 21st century, emotional intelligence is becoming increasingly important in many areas of life. With the rise of automation and technological advances, people skills such as empathy, communication, and teamwork are becoming more valuable in the workplace. The ability to understand and manage one's own emotions, as well as the emotions of others, is essential in building and maintaining healthy relationships, both personally and professionally. Emotional intelligence also plays a crucial role in effective leadership, conflict resolution, and decision-making. In a world that is becoming more interconnected and diverse, emotional intelligence is a key skill that can help individuals navigate the complexities of modern life.

Emotional Quotient (EQ) is a measure of a person's ability to understand, manage, and express their emotions effectively. It is an important aspect of emotional intelligence, which encompasses a wide range of skills and abilities related to emotions. EQ is often referred to as "people skills" or "soft skills," and it is becoming increasingly important in many areas of life, including work, relationships, and personal development.

One aspect of emotional intelligence is affectional intelligence, which refers to a person's ability to give and receive affection and love. This skill is essential in building and maintaining healthy relationships with others, whether it be with family members, friends, or romantic partners. People with high affectional intelligence tend to be warm, loving, and empathetic towards others. They are able to recognize and respond to the emotional needs of those around them and are skilled at communicating their own emotions in a positive way.

Another aspect of emotional intelligence is mood intelligence, which refers to a person's ability to manage their own moods and emotions effectively. People with high mood intelligence are able to regulate their emotions in a healthy way, which helps them to cope with stress and anxiety. They are also able to shift their moods quickly, which is an important skill in many situations, such as in the workplace or in social situations. Being able to shift one's mood quickly can help to diffuse tense situations and create a positive atmosphere.

Finally, motivational intelligence is another important aspect of emotional intelligence. This refers to a person's ability to set and achieve goals, and to stay motivated even in the face of challenges and setbacks. People with high motivational intelligence are able to focus on their goals, stay positive, and take action towards achieving them. They are also able to inspire and motivate others, which is an important skill in leadership and teamwork.

Emotional intelligence is an essential skill in today's world, and EQ is an important component of emotional intelligence. Affectional intelligence, mood intelligence, and motivational intelligence are all important aspects of EQ, and they all contribute to a person's overall emotional intelligence. By developing these skills, individuals can improve their relationships, their productivity, and their overall well-being. If you are looking to improve your EQ, there are many resources available, including books, courses, and coaching programs. With practice and dedication, anyone can improve their emotional intelligence and achieve greater success and happiness in life.

DON'T DO THINGS JUST BECAUSE YOU WANT TO BE ADMIRED, ACCEPTED AND HELD IN HIGH ESTEEM

DON'T DO THINGS JUST BECAUSE YOU WANT TO BE ADMIRED, ACCEPTED AND HELD IN HIGH ESTEEM

Don't hope to achieve certain things like social status or approval from others. We should recognize our purpose and individual vision. We each have a unique contribution to make and potential to improve ourselves. By focusing on our personal growth and fulfillment, we can live out our purpose and make a positive impact.

Many people spend their lives chasing after external validation, hoping to be admired, accepted or held in high esteem by others. They believe that these things will bring them happiness and fulfillment. However, this is a flawed approach because external validation is fleeting and can be taken away at any moment. Additionally, it is not a sustainable source of happiness because it is dependent on the opinions of others.

Instead, we should  focus on our inner vision and purpose. We are here for a reason, and it is up to us to discover that reason and live it out. Our contribution, enhancement, and expansion are unique to us and cannot be replicated by anyone else. When we focus on living out our purpose, we naturally attract the right people and opportunities that align with our vision.

Living out our purpose requires courage and self-awareness. We must be willing to let go of societal expectations and trust our inner voice. It may require us to take risks and make unconventional choices. However, the rewards of living out our purpose are immeasurable. We experience a sense of fulfillment and satisfaction that cannot be found in external validation.

Believing in oneself is a crucial component of achieving success. When you possess a strong belief in your abilities, you are more likely to take on challenges with confidence and perseverance. This conviction can help you maintain focus and motivation, even when faced with setbacks or obstacles. With a clear vision of what success means to you, you can establish specific goals and create a roadmap to achieve them. Having a clear understanding of your desired outcome can help you stay on track and make decisions more effectively. When you believe in yourself and maintain a clear vision of success, you are better equipped to overcome challenges and achieve your goals.

Don’t hope to be admired,  accepted or held in high esteem. Know that you came here with a vision for yourself. It challenges us to shift our focus from external validation to living out our inner vision. When we do so, we experience a sense of fulfillment and satisfaction that cannot be found in external validation.

QUO VADIS OPM?

QUO VADIS OPM?

The music industry has undoubtedly become over-commercialized, and this has resulted in a lack of originality and creativity in the songs being produced. Even songwriting competitions have failed to generate fresh and innovative music because of a focus on being radio-friendly and appealing to the masses. Until the industry is willing to take risks and challenge the status quo, it is unlikely that we will see much progress in the Filipino music scene.

It is clear that money is the primary concern for many in the music and broadcast industries. This has led to a reliance on formulaic music that is guaranteed to be popular with audiences. However, this approach has stifled creativity and made it difficult for new and unique voices to be heard. As a result, the music industry has become stagnant, and the same tired songs are played repeatedly on the radio and in music bars across the country.

Interestingly, despite the lack of originality in the music being produced, Filipino bands and singers have gained popularity throughout Asia by performing cover songs. While this may be a testament to their talent as musicians, it also highlights the lack of confidence in producing original music. Instead of taking risks and experimenting with new sounds and styles, many artists choose to play it safe by sticking to what is already popular.

This is not to say that local artists are entirely to blame for the current state of the music industry. The industry as a whole must take responsibility for the lack of originality and creativity in the music being produced. It is up to the industry to create an environment that encourages innovation and experimentation.

One way to achieve this is by providing more opportunities for up-and-coming artists to showcase their talents. This could be done through more music festivals, concerts, and other events that promote new and emerging artists. Additionally, radio stations and music bars could be more open to playing and promoting original music rather than relying on the same tired playlist.

In conclusion, the over-commercialization of the music industry has resulted in a lack of originality and creativity in the songs being produced. Until the industry is willing to take risks and challenge the status quo, it is unlikely that we will see much progress in the Filipino music scene. However, by providing more opportunities for new and emerging artists and promoting original music, we can create an environment that encourages innovation and experimentation and ultimately leads to a more vibrant and exciting music industry.

OUR REAL POWER IS OUR FREE WILL

OUR REAL POWER IS OUR FREE WILL

Our ability to make choices is one of the most powerful tools we possess in this world. Free will, the ability to make decisions and choose our own path, is what sets us apart from other creatures on this planet. It is what gives us the power to shape our lives in whatever way we see fit. Every action we take, every decision we make, has consequences that can either lead us towards happiness or unhappiness.

If we choose to be unhappy, every area of our lives will reflect this. Relationships will be strained, health will suffer, wealth will be elusive, and success will be hard to come by. Negative thinking can create a self-fulfilling prophecy, where our beliefs and actions lead to the very outcome we fear. We may find ourselves pushing away friends and loved ones, neglecting our health, and making poor decisions that lead to financial troubles.

On the other hand, if we choose to be happy, the opposite will happen. We will attract positive energy and good things into our lives. Our relationships will be stronger, our health will improve, and we will find success in our pursuits. Positive thinking can create a virtuous cycle, where our beliefs and actions lead to the outcomes we desire. We may find ourselves attracting new friends and loved ones, taking better care of our health, and making sound financial decisions.

Of course, it is not always easy to choose happiness. Life can be challenging, and we may face obstacles that make it difficult to maintain a positive outlook. However, it is important to remember that we always have a choice. We can choose to focus on the negative and let it bring us down, or we can choose to focus on the positive and let it lift us up.

Ultimately, our real power in this world is not in our wealth, status, or material possessions. It is in our ability to make choices. We have the power to shape our lives in whatever way we see fit. We can choose to be happy or unhappy, successful or unsuccessful, healthy or unhealthy. We can choose to take responsibility for our lives and make the choices that will lead us towards the outcomes we desire.

Our free will or ability to make choices is a powerful tool that we possess. The choices we make have a profound impact on every aspect of our lives, from our relationships to our health to our finances. If we choose to be happy, we will attract positivity and good things into our lives. If we choose to be unhappy, we will attract negativity and struggle. The power to choose is always in our hands, and it is up to us to use it wisely.

OUR EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM WOULD RATHER INDOCTRINATE THAN DEVELOP THINKING CRITICALLY

OUR EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM WOULD RATHER INDOCTRINATE THAN DEVELOP THINKING CRITICALLY

Critical thinking, creative thinking, and divergent thinking are essential skills that enable us to question, analyze, and evaluate information and ideas. However, in our society, these skills are often discouraged or suppressed, particularly in areas such as religion, politics, and relationships. Moreover, the educational system tends to prioritize indoctrination over the development of critical thinking skills. As a result, many people accept beliefs and ideas that directly impact the quality of their lives without questioning their validity or usefulness.

One of the reasons why critical thinking is discouraged or suppressed in our culture is that it challenges the status quo. People tend to cling to familiar ideas and beliefs because they provide comfort and a sense of identity. However, critical thinking requires us to question our assumptions and beliefs, which can be uncomfortable and destabilizing. In addition, some institutions and individuals benefit from promoting certain beliefs or ideologies, which can lead to the suppression of alternative perspectives and ideas.

Religion is one area where critical thinking is often discouraged or suppressed. Many religious institutions promote a particular worldview and discourage questioning or challenging their teachings. This can result in blind adherence to dogma and a lack of critical engagement with religious ideas. Similarly, in politics, people often align themselves with a particular ideology or party without critically evaluating their positions or policies. This can lead to a lack of robust debate and compromise, which are essential for effective governance.

In relationships, critical thinking is essential for healthy communication and problem-solving. However, societal expectations and norms can suppress critical thinking by promoting conformity and discouraging individuality. For example, gender roles and expectations can limit people's ability to think creatively and divergently about their relationships and roles.

The educational system also plays a significant role in the suppression of critical thinking. Many schools prioritize memorization and regurgitation of information over critical analysis and evaluation. This approach can lead to a lack of curiosity and a reluctance to question authority or established ideas. Moreover, the emphasis on standardized testing can discourage creativity and divergent thinking, as students are expected to conform to a particular set of expectations and rules.

After school, individuals are left to decide whether they are in charge of their thinking or if their thinking controls them. Unfortunately, many people accept beliefs and ideas without critically evaluating them, leading to a lack of awareness and agency in their lives. This can result in a range of negative outcomes, from poor decision-making to a lack of personal fulfillment.

Critical thinking, creative thinking, and divergent thinking are crucial skills that enable us to question, analyze, and evaluate information and ideas. However, in our culture, these skills are often discouraged or suppressed, particularly in areas such as religion, politics, and relationships. Moreover, the educational system tends to prioritize indoctrination over the development of critical thinking skills. As a result, many people accept beliefs and ideas that directly impact the quality of their lives without questioning their validity or usefulness. It is crucial to prioritize critical thinking in all areas of our lives to promote individual agency, personal fulfillment, and effective decision-making.

WE ARE THE ONES WHO CREATE OUR DESTINY

WE ARE THE ONES WHO CREATE OUR DESTINY

Life is a journey that is full of twists and turns, and it is up to us to navigate through it with purpose and intention. It is easy to fall into the trap of thinking that our destiny is predetermined, and that we are merely uncovering what has already been set in motion. However, this perspective overlooks the fact that each of us has the power to actively produce and shape our own future.

While it is true that some aspects of our lives are beyond our control, such as our genetic makeup or the circumstances we are born into, we still have agency over how we respond to these factors. We can choose to let them define us, or we can take responsibility for our own lives and actively work towards shaping our own destiny.

This process of actively producing and shaping our own future requires us to take ownership of our actions and decisions. Each day is an opportunity to make choices that will impact our lives in the long term, and it is up to us to make the most of these opportunities. Whether it is choosing to pursue a particular career path, starting a new hobby, or making a difficult decision that will impact our relationships, every choice we make has the potential to shape our future.

It is important to note that even when we are not consciously aware of it, we are constantly crafting our own reality through our actions and decisions. The choices we make, big and small, have a ripple effect that can impact not only our own lives but the lives of those around us as well. By taking an active role in shaping our own future, we are also contributing to the collective future of our communities and society as a whole.

In order to actively produce and shape our own future, it is important to have a clear understanding of our goals and values. Without a sense of direction, it can be easy to get lost in the chaos of daily life and lose sight of what truly matters to us. By taking the time to reflect on our goals and values, we can make more informed decisions that align with our vision for the future.

Life is not about merely uncovering what has already been predetermined for us, but rather about actively producing and shaping what is to come. Each day is an opportunity to construct our own reality through our actions and decisions. By taking ownership of our lives and working towards our goals with purpose and intention, we have the power to shape not only our own future but the future of our communities and society as a whole.

BY DISCOVERING OUR DIVINITY WE TAP INTO SOMETHING GREATER THAN OURSELVES.

BY DISCOVERING OUR DIVINITY WE TAP INTO SOMETHING GREATER THAN OURSELVES.

As human beings, we have a natural inclination to seek purpose and meaning in our lives. We want to feel like we are making a difference, that our existence matters, and that we are contributing to something greater than ourselves. One of the most powerful ways to achieve this sense of fulfillment is by serving humanity. By using our unique talents and abilities to make a positive impact on others, we can not only generate wealth and success but also experience a deep sense of satisfaction and purpose.

The first step in serving humanity is to ask ourselves, "How am I best suited to serve?" This question requires us to reflect on our own strengths, passions, and talents. It may be helpful to ask ourselves what we are naturally good at, what we enjoy doing, and what we feel drawn to. For some, this may involve working directly with people, while for others, it may involve creating something that benefits others.

Once we have identified our unique talents and abilities, it is important to put them into practice. This may involve seeking out opportunities to volunteer, starting a business that addresses a particular need, or simply finding small ways to make a positive impact on those around us. The key is to take action and use our talents to serve others in whatever way we can.

In doing so, we may discover our divinity. When we use our talents to serve humanity, we tap into something greater than ourselves. We begin to see that we are part of a larger whole, and that our purpose is to contribute to the betterment of society. This realization can be incredibly powerful, as it can help us to feel more connected to others, more compassionate, and more fulfilled.

Moreover, when our creative expressions match the needs of our fellow humans, wealth will spontaneously flow from the unmanifest into the manifest, from the realm of the spirit into the world of form. This means that by serving humanity with our unique talents, we can also generate wealth and success. However, it is important to remember that the focus should always be on serving others, rather than simply achieving personal gain.

Serving humanity with our unique talents and abilities is one of the most powerful ways to find purpose and fulfillment in life. By asking ourselves how we are best suited to serve, putting our talents into practice, and focusing on the needs of others, we can not only make a positive impact on the world but also experience a deep sense of satisfaction and purpose. When we align our creative expressions with the needs of others, we can generate all the wealth that we want, but the true reward is the joy that comes from serving humanity.
